题目:SDE modeling in mathematical biology

摘要 Stochastic differential equations have a great potential in modeling of medical and biological phenomena in order to answer deep questions. In this talk, I will report our recent work in study of glioma biology and cholera epidemics using mathematical modeling. Particularly, we will look at how immune cells infiltrate into a solid tumor, how we could use available data to fit an Ito’s stochastic differential equation, and how a system of Ito’s stochastic differential equations could tell us more about epidemical dynamics of infectious disease as cholera.
