【报告题目】:High Order Methods for Time-Space Integro/Fractional Differential Equations

【报告摘要】:In this talk we will discuss high order methods for some classes of non-local equations. The equations that we are interested in include: time fractional differential equations, integro-differential equations with weakly singular kernels, time-space fractional equations, and so on. One of the main features of these equations is their non-locality, which makes the design of numerical methods difficult. We will present some efficient numerical methods specially adapted to these problems, including fast high order time stepping schemes with low storage for the time fractional differential equation, two kinds of spectral methods for the time-space fractional equation and integro-differential equations with weakly singular kernel. In particular, some new methods making use of Muntz polynomials, in both traditional and ANN frameworks, will be presented and analyzed for problems with solutions of low regularity.
【报告人简介】:许传炬,厦门大学特聘教授,1986年厦门大学本科毕业,1989年巴黎南大学硕士毕业,1993年巴黎第六大学博士毕业。研究领域包括:计算流体谱元法,梯度流模型的高效算法,奇性问题的高精度算法,分数阶偏微分/积分方程的高阶数值方法等。与国内外多所大学有合作项目,包括法国Nice大学、Bordeaux大学、ENSAM、Université de technologie de Compiègne、Poitiers大学,丹麦DTU等。担任多个国际学术期刊的编委,包括SIAM Journal of Scientific Computing,Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems-Series S,East Asia Journal on Applied Mathematics, AIMS Mathematics等的编委。
