报告题目:Obstacle scattering and inverse scattering for elastic waves
报告摘要:This talk concerns elastic obstacle scattering and inverse scattering problems. By introducing the Helmholtz decomposition, the model problem is reduced to a coupled boundary integral equation with hypersingular integral operators. For the direct problem, a semi-discrete and full-discrete schemes are proposed for the integral system in a framework of collocation method. We show the error estimates for both discrete schemes in Sobolev space and make a conclusion that the numerical solution of the integral system is exponentially convergent. Numerical experiments are presented to confirm our theoretical results. For the inverse problem, a relation is established between the compressional (or shear) far-field pattern and the corresponding far-field pattern for the coupled Helmholtz equations. The translation invariance of the phaseless compressional and shear far-field patterns are shown. In particular, a reference ball technique is introduced to the scattering system in order to break the translation invariance, which will enable us to determine the location and the shape of a rigid obstacle from the phaseless far-field data for a single incident plane wave. Numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.
报告人简介:董和平副教授,吉林大学学士、博士(硕博联读),专业为计算数学。主要研究方向是散射与反散射问题的数值方法与分析,近两年针对声波和弹性波的phaseless障碍反散射问题提出了基于参考球的非线性积分方程方法,相关研究结果发表在《Inverse Problems》,《SIAM. J. Imaging Sci》等学术期刊上。
